YOUR MISSION 

We are seeking a dynamic leader who embodies a mix of operational excellence, negotiation and collaboration skills, and strategic, innovative thinking. As Head of Region South, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of Glovo in Southern Italy. Your role will involve setting the commercial strategy, leading a high-performing team, and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders. ROLE BASED IN NAPLES GLOVO OFFICE

THE JOURNEY

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the long-term commercial strategy for top partners in the region, ensuring alignment with Glovo’s overarching goals.
  • Oversee multiple areas, including sales, partnerships, and advertisement, to drive business growth and enhance our platform’s market presence.
  • Analyze business and financial data to inform key decisions and identify new business opportunities that will contribute to regional success.

Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of 15+ talented professionals, driving them towards achieving excellence and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Structure and manage the daily operations of the South Regional team, ensuring smooth information flow and strong collaboration with other regional leaders and central teams.
  • Set clear goals, delegate effectively, and monitor the team’s performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to deliver a best-in-class execution and foster a collaborative work environment.

Partnership Development:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including top restaurants and chains, ensuring mutual growth and success.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to help our partners expand their businesses on the Glovo platform.
  • Drive the expansion of our selection by signing outstanding restaurants not yet on our platform, strengthening our market offering.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the team, fostering a supportive environment that encourages learning, growth, and collective success.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience managing high-performing teams of 10+ people in fast-paced environments such as startups, top consulting firms, or top tech companies.
  • Negotiation & Relationships: Proven experience in negotiating large-scale contracts and building lasting relationships with C-level executives.
  • Leadership & Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in leading and motivating cross-functional teams of 10+ individuals to achieve collective goals. Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and empathize with clients’ and partners' business models, challenges, and objectives.
  • Proactive Attitude: A “doer” mentality, with the ability to get involved, stay informed, and drive impactful outcomes.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Italian; Spanish is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, data-driven approach, and strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Persuasive yet pleasant, with the ability to sell value-added solutions to customers, partners, and the Glovo platform.
  • Good judgment and assertiveness, with a readiness to own up to mistakes and face challenges with optimism.

  • Resourceful, with a knack for finding smart and elegant solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary challenges.
