As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of QHSE Standards & Competency to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our global QHSE Management System.
The Head of QHSE Standards & Competency will serve as a key leader within the QHSE function, responsible for establishing and maintaining global standards, management systems, competency frameworks, training programs, and assurance processes across the organization.
This position will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, and regional stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous improvement, risk reduction, compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will ensure that EnerMech's QHSE Management System remains aligned with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and international standards.
Job Description:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of EnerMech's global QHSE Management System.
- Establish and govern QHSE standards, procedures, processes, and assurance frameworks across all business lines and regions.
- Drive the continuous improvement of risk management, incident management, corrective action, and performance verification processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for ISO management systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Develop and oversee internal and external audit programs, including coordination with certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
- Own and maintain the QHSE document control system, ensuring all standards, procedures, and records remain current and effective.
- Lead the development of competency frameworks, training programs, and employee development initiatives in partnership with operational and HR teams.
- Support customer pre-qualification, tender submissions, risk assessments, and project mobilization activities from a QHSE perspective.
- Provide leadership and guidance on investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Monitor and analyze QHSE performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators to drive continual improvement.
- Partner with operational leadership to identify system gaps, implement corrective actions, and strengthen organizational performance.
- Support environmental, occupational health, and regulatory compliance initiatives across the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive QHSE leadership experience within the energy, industrial, offshore, construction, manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and auditing QHSE Management Systems.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, IOGP, and other applicable industry standards.
- Proven experience leading internal and external audit programs.
- Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and management system governance.
- Experience developing competency frameworks, training programs, and workforce capability initiatives.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, Lead Auditor, CIH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
