✨The core missionAs the Head of QA, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall Quality Assurance strategy for our B2B/B2C SaaS platforms (4 major product streams: Labs, Enterprise Platform, CTF, Academy) & architecture. You will lead and develop a growing team of manual and automation engineers, ensure the delivery of high-quality releases, and embed quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Your mission is to elevate our QA maturity, strengthen our testing frameworks, and ensure our customers experience a reliable, secure, and seamless product.
🏢 Location & Work Mode:- Location: Athens, Greece
- Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote, plus one month of work from anywhere
- Full-time role
You will lead a team of 10 QA professionals (6 manual, 4 automation) and work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Architects, and infrastructure teams. You will act as the strategic quality partner across multiple cross-functional squads, ensuring alignment, clarity, and continuous improvement in quality processes.
🚀 The adventures that await you:- Build and execute the QA strategy and roadmap, covering manual testing, test automation, performance testing, and release readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop both manual and automation QA teams, driving ownership, consistency, and excellence.
- Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test pipelines for our SaaS platform.
- Ensure high-quality releases by collaborating with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to define acceptance criteria, quality gates, and release processes.
- Drive automation-first practices, expanding test coverage across backend, frontend, and API layers.
- Implement and monitor QA metrics (defect leakage, test coverage, cycle time, release quality, etc.), promoting data-driven decision-making.
- Improve and optimize QA processes, tools, and workflows to increase speed and reliability of testing.
- Act as the escalation point for quality issues and drive root cause analysis and prevention initiatives.
- Champion a culture of quality across the organization and ensure QA is embedded early in the product lifecycle.
- Build strong collaborative partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholders, proactively aligning on quality expectations and resolving scope questions
- 7+ years of QA experience in a SaaS environment, with at least 4 years in a QA leadership/management role.
- Strong experience leading both manual and automation teams; ability to grow, coach, and upskill QA professionals.
- Hands-on expertise with test automation frameworks (preferably Playwright and Selenium).
- Solid understanding of modern software development practices—CI/CD, microservices, APIs, cloud environments, agile methodologies.
- Experience implementing QA strategies for both B2B and B2C SaaS products (high scale, security, reliability requirements).
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to improve quality across the SDLC.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Experience with performance, security, and regression testing frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) is highly beneficial.

What We Do
Hack The Box is an online platform allowing you to test your penetration testing skills and exchange ideas and methodologies with other members of similar interests. It contains several challenges that are constantly updated. Some of them simulating real world scenarios and some of them leaning more towards a CTF style of challenge.
As an individual, you can complete a simple challenge to prove your skills and then create an account, allowing you to connect to our private network (HTB Net) where several machines await for you to hack them. By hacking machines you get points that help you advance in the rankings.
