The Position

The Pharma Technical Operations (PT) department is establishing the One PT Data Office to serve as the strategic center for data governance, strategy, and enablement across the entire global PT network. This team is at the heart of our digital transformation, responsible for architecting and leading a central data office to unlock the full potential of PT’s data assets. Our goal is to foster a digital mindset, revolutionize our FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data ecosystem, and generate transformative insights.

The Head of PT Data Products & Data Operations will play a critical role within the One PT Data Office, focusing on transforming PT's vast data assets into impactful, user-centric data products. You will be accountable for driving the strategic implementation, adoption, and ongoing evolution of high-quality data products across PT. You will build and lead a high-performing team of centralized Data Product Owners and Data Site Operation Leads, fostering a product-centric culture that prioritizes business value, user experience, and continuous delivery. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader capable of translating complex business needs into actionable data product roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration with our digital and operational excellence ambitions, and accelerating the realization of patient benefits.

The Opportunity
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the entire lifecycle of data products within PT, ensuring alignment with our digital strategy.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data product roadmap, identifying high-impact opportunities in close partnership with Data Domain Leads and business stakeholders.

  • Accountable for the end-to-end implementation and successful delivery of data products, from conceptualization and design to deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of Data Product Owners and Data Site Operation Leads, fostering a collaborative, agile, and results-oriented environment.

  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key senior stakeholders across PT and global functions, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader in data products.

  • Define, track, and report on the tangible business value, ROI, and adoption metrics of data products to senior leadership.

  • Actively monitor industry trends in data product management, advanced analytics, and AI/ML applications to inform and evolve PT's data product strategy.

Who You Are
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in data product management, data strategy, or advanced analytics implementation within a complex, global organization.

  • You have at least 5 years of senior leadership experience, specifically building and leading teams of product owners, data scientists, or technical delivery managers.

  • You have demonstrated experience driving the implementation and adoption of data products that deliver measurable business value, ideally in a manufacturing or technical operations context.

  • You have an expert-level knowledge of data product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and product ownership best practices.

  • You are an exceptional strategic thinker with superior communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
