The Opportunity

The Head of Product is responsible for determining the long-term vision of our product, and the short- and medium-term roadmap to get us from here to there. This vision comes from developing a deep understanding of the needs of our customers. We are looking for a Head of Product who will communicate often with our prospects and users to understand their needs. We also want someone who knows how to listen to our marketing, sales and customer success and support teams. The right person will be able to assimilate all of these inputs and then decide which features will add the most value and then figure out the best and smartest way to build them. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a product vision that meets the needs of our customers, and translate that vision into a roadmap.

  • Provide direct, hands-on leadership and management to the Product Management and UX teams.
  • Develop a keen understanding of our market.
  • Serve as a visible thought leader within the industry.

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of product management experience with 5+ years in software and 5+ years in product leadership.
  • Experience with responsibility for a product’s overall success and strategic roadmap. Ideally this is over an entire company, but we’re open to people who’ve been responsible for a product within a larger org.
  • Successful track record at high-growth venture-backed SaaS companies.
  • Best in class communication skills - communicating across Canopy, with our board, future investors, and within the industry.
  • Informed on AI trends within software.
