As our product portfolio grows in scale and complexity, we are seeking a senior leader to elevate product operations, portfolio governance, and AI enablement across the organisation.

About the Role

Fugro's product portfolio spans multiple Product Families, from geo-data acquisition assets to subsurface modelling to asset integrity and geo-data processing. As the scale and complexity of this portfolio grows, so does the need for the following capabilities to work in concert: effective, lightweight product and engineering operations and clear, disciplined portfolio governance to enable strategic investment decisions.

As Head of Product Operations & Strategic Portfolio Management, you will be a force multiplier for Fugro’s product organisation, evangelising systems, processes & insights. You will create insights that give Global Business Line leaders, Product Family Directors, and Technology Leaders the evidence they need to make confident, well-informed decisions. You will guide AI enablement of product operations.

Your role

  • You define consistent product operating rhythms across all product families;

  • You create visibility and consistency on product roadmaps and OKRs across global teams;

  • You create insights on product metrics such as time-to-market, impact, usage, growth, and predictability;

  • You evangelise product development tools, best practices, and templates to reduce friction and improve consistency;

  • You develop an AI enablement roadmap and guide AI adoption throughout the product development lifecycle;

  • You track and share internal AI-assisted product development case studies to build organisational confidence;

  • You build and maintain a portfolio-wide view across all product and solution offerings;

  • You design and run structured, evidence-based investment decision frameworks;

  • You lead quarterly and bi-annual portfolio reviews with business line leaders and guide prioritisation and investment;

  • You track portfolio-level metrics including revenue mix, lifecycle stage distribution, strategic alignment, and return on investment.

Your track record

  • You bring significant experience in Product Management, Product Operations, or a related field;

  • You have proven experience building or improving product investment or portfolio management processes in a complex organisation;

  • You are strongly data-driven and comfortable defining insights and building dashboards;

  • You influence effectively within a complex, matrixed global organisation;

  • You communicate with exceptional structure, translating complexity into clear executive narratives;

  • You have working knowledge of AI tools in a product or delivery context (e.g., LLM-assisted research, AI-powered prototyping, automated testing frameworks);

  • You demonstrate strong financial literacy, including business cases, ROI modelling, and scenario analysis;

  • You ideally have experience across diverse domains such as hardware engineering, embedded systems, and software.

  • 29 holidays per year based on full-time employment (of which 4 are appointed by Fugro management) and the possibility to purchase 12 additional days;

  • Extensive career & training opportunities both nationally and internationally;

  • Flexible working hours and the ability to work from home in accordance with your manager and corporate policies;
