This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end ownership of product strategy, delivery alignment, and continuous improvement across a complex GovTech portfolio. The Head of Product shapes and executes the product roadmap, ensuring solutions are aligned to customer needs, commercial outcomes, and long-term strategic direction.
The role operates at the centre of the business, partnering closely with delivery, service, engineering, and customer-facing leadership to ensure products are designed, developed, and supported to a high standard. It provides the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide product practices, drive innovation through market insight and emerging technologies, and embed best-in-class product management disciplines.
This position leads a high-performing team and establishes a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric thinking. It contributes directly to business performance through effective prioritisation, strong stakeholder management, and disciplined execution of product and change initiatives.
The role also acts as a strategic partner to customers, ensuring their requirements are understood, prioritised, and delivered in a way that enhances satisfaction, strengthens long-term relationships, and delivers measurable value.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading product teams within a complex, enterprise software environment
- Strong track record of defining and executing product strategy and roadmap ownership
- Proven ability to manage multiple product workstreams and prioritise competing demands
- Experience working closely with engineering, delivery, and service functions in an Agile environment
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, including requirements, design, and delivery governance
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to operate effectively at executive level
- Commercial acumen with experience contributing to financial targets and product value realisation
- Proven leadership capability with experience building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams
- Excellent planning, organisational, and resource management skills
- Experience using market research, customer feedback, and competitor insights to inform product decisions
- Ability to drive continuous improvement across product processes, quality, and operational performance
- Experience operating within ITIL or structured service management environments
- Proven ability to manage change processes and ensure delivery against contractual and SLA requirements
