Job Description

As the Head of Process Excellence, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across Australia by reviewing, designing and optimising end-to-end business processes. You will identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and continuous improvement, while leading country process governance and fostering cross-functional collaboration. You will also support and guide local process initiatives where required to meet customer, regulatory, and operational needs. The role is instrumental in championing the successful adoption of global business initiatives and ensuring sustainable business outcomes.

In this role, you will provide strategic guidance to ensure business processes, system capabilities and operational practices remain aligned with global standards and organisational objectives. Through effective governance and stakeholder engagement you will enable consistent execution, improve productivity and deliver exceptional customer outcomes across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion globally standardised business processes and ways of working.
  • Documenting current state processes, conducting gap analysis, and recommending future state.
  • Represent Asia within the Global Process Governance framework.
  • Drive compliance with global process standards and identify opportunities to simplify country variations.
  • Lead country process reviews and governance forums.
  • Analyse, design and continuously improve end-to-end freight forwarding processes.
  • Facilitate workshop sessions to engage teams and support with process adoption.
  • Maintain process documentation and process architecture within approved application.
  • Develop future-state process designs that improve efficiency, quality and customer experience.
  • Support the implementation of CargoWise rollout.
  • Validate regional workflow designs and business rules.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness activities and country deployments.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives across the country.
  • Analyse operational performance and identify productivity opportunities.
  • Monitor process compliance and operational KPIs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience within the international freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong operational knowledge across Air and Ocean freight operations.
  • Deep understanding of CargoWise One (CW1).
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and workshop leadership skills.
  • Experience working across multiple countries or regions.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to balance global standards with regional operational requirements.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or Process Improvement qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
