The Impact You Will Have

As US Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Principal, you will lead Elliptic’s public policy and regulatory engagement strategy across the United States, the most consequential jurisdiction shaping the future of digital assets.

Based in New York, you will be Elliptic’s senior voice on compliance and regulatory affairs across the Americas, guiding our approach to engaging with commercial clients, federal and state regulators, and international standard setters.

You will be one of Elliptic's subject-matter experts on the regulatory forces reshaping the US digital asset market, including the Clarity Act, stablecoin frameworks, FinCEN guidance, SEC and CFTC jurisdiction, and state-level licensing regimes. Just as importantly, you will understand what each of these means for our clients' businesses and for the revenue teams supporting them.

You will engage formally in shaping outcomes through consultations, working group seats, and direct engagement with regulators and industry associations, working closely with (though distinct from) our policy team, and helping craft our regulatory responses.

You will turn that regulatory engagement into commercial and reputational impact. You'll act as the subject-matter expert prospects and customers rely on directly, feed the voice of our ideal customer profile systematically into product and roadmap decisions, and translate our regulatory positions into thought leadership and advocacy, written with Elliptic's mindset and commercial point of view, that builds our brand and credibility across the Americas over time.

In this commercially oriented role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients, helping them navigate regulatory complexity, adopt Elliptic’s solutions with confidence, and meet their compliance objectives.

You will join a global, cross-functional team of regulatory specialists and subject matter experts, working at the forefront of engagement with governments, regulators, financial institutions, and crypto native businesses.

Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing Elliptic as the most trusted advisor for regulated institutions and public agencies seeking to understand and mitigate risks in the digital asset economy.

Key Outcomes

  • Serve as Elliptic's subject-matter expert on US AML/CFT, regulatory, and compliance requirements affecting digital assets, engaging directly with federal and state regulators, industry associations, and working groups.

  • Drive commercial outcomes through direct, hands-on engagement across both pre-sales and post-sales, acting as the regulatory expert who helps convert deals and strengthens existing client relationships, consistent with GPRG's model of converting regulatory authority into commercial impact.Shape and respond to emerging digital asset regulatory frameworks, including stablecoin rules, AML/CFT requirements, and digital asset classification, translating them into practical guidance for clients and prospects.

  • Strengthen Elliptic's regulatory credibility and thought leadership through written advocacy, content, and external representation grounded in compliance and risk expertise, building brand equity and pipeline that compound over time.

  • Advise and empower internal teams, especially product and revenue, with regulatory and compliance insight that drives product development, client success, and commercial strategy.

  • Position Elliptic as the leading compliance and risk technology partner for US financial institutions navigating digital asset regulation.

What You Will Do

  • Provide direct advisory support to prospects and customers across the full commercial lifecycle, from pre-sales deal support through to post-sales onboarding, risk-rule design input, and ongoing regulatory Q&A, acting as the technical credibility behind Elliptic's commercial relationships.

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on US AML/CFT, compliance, and digital asset regulation, and on how this regulatory landscape affects our clients and the broader digital asset ecosystem.

  • Develop thought leadership through authoritative content, including regulatory analysis, compliance updates, consultation responses, and industry trend reports, written with Elliptic's mindset and commercial point of view.

  • Work with our Strategic Advisory team to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across federal agencies (FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OCC, OFAC), state regulators, and industry associations, engaging through formal consultations and working group seats, authoring Policy Position Papers and feeding ICP playbooks that Revenue, Product and Marketing rely on directly.

  • Represent Elliptic at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and working groups, and in direct engagement with regulators and financial services leaders.

  • Collaborate with product teams to feed the voice of our ideal customer profile, informed by regulatory and compliance developments, systematically into roadmap decisions.

  • Maintain a disciplined regulatory learning and horizon-scanning practice, advising on regulatory developments and market trends affecting digital asset compliance and institutional adoption, and giving clients, prospects and internal teams early, actionable notice of what is coming.

  • Support business development and enterprise sales processes with deep AML, compliance, and risk expertise.

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that accelerate responsible adoption of digital asset solutions within financial institutions.

  • Build and maintain your professional profile through speaking engagements, published thought leadership, and industry networking.
