In the role as our new Head of Planning at GN, you will lead the team responsible for all our planning and purchasing activities across our Hearing, Enterprise, and Gaming divisions. The team supports the EMEA Regional Operations and the involved business teams to meet sales targets, NPIs, inventory, and performance goals.
The team you will be part of
You will be part of the EMEA Regional Leadership Team consisting of Orders Management, Local Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse Management and Operational Excellence. The team is scattered across Europe, but with virtual and physical team meetings we maintain a culture of engagement and a spirit of improvements.
Your team consists of 12 skilled planners, where two are Planning Managers reporting directly to you. Geographically they are located mainly in Ballerup (HQ) and Asia so some travel is to be expected. Your direct report will be the Head of Regional Operations Louise Juul Østergaard.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Manage day-to-day supply and inbound logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost of inbound flow from supplier to customer
- Responsible for optimizing processes within function and stakeholders to move the agenda ahead
- Implementing changes across locations and systems to enhance inventory management, control, and inbound transport
- Close collaboration with internal and external warehouses and logistic providers
- Determine inventory policy throughout the EMEA supply chain process, review replenishment targets, and sustain an effective planning inventory model and manage backorders
- Prepare management reports for planning and purchasing data and provide insight and recommendations for improvement to ensure insights-driven and meaningful innovation
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:
- Min. a Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or operations management, business or economics
- Leadership experience in supply chain management, planning, inventory management, purchasing, and in manufacturing
- Experience and thorough understanding of the production process with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in an international environment
- Systems understanding
- Stakeholder management towards all internal and external stakeholders enabling us to transform and get along
- Can develop and promote the right behaviors and core values for the team and provide coaching and feedback
- Are self-motivated and initiative-driven with an ability to make well-reasoned decisions on your own
