Job Description

As our Head of People Partnering and Operations you will play a key role in shaping and leading NEXTDC's people capability during a period of significant growth and geographic expansion. Reporting directly to the HR Executive, you will bring dedicated senior leadership to our People and Culture (P&C) Business Partnering function and drive the evolution of how P&C partners with and delivers value to the business across all NEXTDC geographies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading, developing, and growing the BP team, building a function that operates as a genuine strategic asset to the business
  • Setting the standard for strategic Business Partnering at NEXTDC, evolving the team's practice from broad advisory toward proactive, insight-led partnership with senior leaders
  • Driving enterprise-wide organisational effectiveness through workforce planning and the optimisation of both human and agentic workforce capabilities
  • Providing strategic change leadership across significant organisational initiatives, ensuring workforce readiness and effective adoption of new ways of working
  • Overseeing people advisory services across talent, performance, and reward, ensuring consistent and high-quality outcomes for leaders and employees
  • Contributing to the evolution of the P&C operating model, with people operations expected to grow under this role's remit as the function matures

 

We are happy for this position to be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

 

Qualifications

Your proven experience in strategic Human Resources will see you bringing:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of HR Business Partner professionals with a genuine focus on elevating capability
  • Extensive experience as a senior HR Business Partner, with a track record of advising at executive and senior leadership level
  • Deep expertise in strategic workforce planning, organisational design, and change leadership in a complex, multi-site environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business context into people strategy and communicate it credibly to senior leaders
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Fair Work obligations, with international jurisdiction exposure an advantage
  • Experience in a high growth, ASX-listed, or complex multi-geography environment
