Job Summary
Our Absa Vehicle Management Solutions team prides itself in close partnership with the business by continuously translating the vision for Relationship Banking. Join the team as a Head of Operations & Product where you will be accountable for executing the AVMS strategy across geographic and provincial levels and ensure operational management. To drive the existing and new customer strategy in exploiting business opportunities to optimize business profitability and customer satisfaction. Identify and develop new propositions beyond the core AVMS offerings, while championing transformative ideas and business models. Manage internal stakeholder and 3rd party relationships.
Job Description
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
Achieve operational excellence by effectively applying knowledge of the Supplier Management strategy and its implementation by planning and managing the workload of self and others, including specifying initiatives, scheduling projects, and preparing operating plans with a define area of activity.
Supplier Relationship Development:
Recognised internally as a Subject Matter Expert in Supplier Relationship Development and drives the greatest value out of complex, strategic relationships. Shape, lead and coach others in securing investment and resources both internally and from suppliers and establishes mutually beneficial business relationships.
Supplier Performance Management:
Build and implement independent end to end supplier performance evaluation reports, Supplier Risk Assessments, Benefits Trackers, Financial Stability report, and Value Management and Measurement documents.
Contract/Service Management:
Achieves operational excellence by simultaneously using their detailed understanding of an individual, medium complexity, product/service agreement, and its legal language along with the proactive and effective application of their contract value delivery/service management knowledge.
Strategy Formulation and Execution:
Drive innovation and growth in AVMS by reimagining product distribution through the development of strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the development of new propositions beyond core offerings, ensuring they align with long-term business objectives and deliver transformative growth opportunities.
Oversee the commercialization of new ventures, ensuring that innovative products are effectively positioned in the market to drive revenue growth.
Develop customer-centric value propositions, ensuring that new product offerings align with evolving customer needs and preferences.
Client-Driven Innovation and Change:
Champion transformative ideas and business models, driving the bank’s innovation agenda and continuously identifying opportunities to enhance the product portfolio.
Lead product lifecycle management, ensuring Customer Primacy:
Products continuously evolve to meet changing market dynamics and customer needs.
Operational Effectiveness:
Manage vendor and contract relationships, ensuring that partnerships are aligned with the bank’s strategic goals and deliver value through effective contracting and negotiations.
Good Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
Ensure governance standards are adhered to in all product management processes, managing risk while delivering innovative products to market.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree: Business, Commerce and Management Studies
Ten (10) years or more experience in a fleet management environment, of which (5) five years or more must be in a senior role.
Experience in managing of full maintenance leasing products
Customer Engagement and relationship building
Technical experience of running a fleet maintenance entity.
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
