Job Description

Position Purpose:


Responsible for providing Equipment Pooling services to local customers by managing the operational performance of 3rd party service centers’ & TPM sites within the IMET region. Closely liaise with senior 3rd party management to ensure CHEP’s customers are provided with world-class service.
 

Major/Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop the operational capability of the local plant network to support customer growth and diversification of supply chain offerings
  • Identify and deliver YOY supply chain cost savings in support of CHEP’s Cost Leadership strategy as well as through Lean initiatives in Plants
  • Ensure 3PL compliance to all contractual commitments regarding health, safety & environmental standards. Actively engage 3rd party suppliers in proactively developing safety management programs in support of Brambles Zero Harm vision
  • Manage and enforce quality standards at all sites to ensure local customers have an exceptional quality/service experience
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage the commercial relationship and activity rates with 3PL providers as well as CHEP budgets for plants.
  • Identify and develop alternative 3rd party providers to diversify the CHEP supplier base
  • Coach and develop direct reports based on their performance, personal career aspirations, and CHEP business needs.
  • Maintain and manage Plant Operations Strategy in close collaboration with other Ops Managers, and CHEP functional partners, including Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales
  • Deliver the Operations Strategy for the region
  • Member of the Leadership Team either in Turkiye / ME or India (TBC)

Scope:

Location: IMET

Region : IMET

Number of Staff (direct): 3-4

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Management or similar is required.

Experience:

5-7 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution experience with at least 3 years in a management capacity.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of an organization, both internal and external.
  • Must have demonstrated success of developing and leading cross-functional project teams that deliver cost savings.
  • Must have demonstrated success in negotiating skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and lead remote teams.
  • Must have experience of developing and successfully implementing both safety and quality management programs.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively and at times on short notice.
