About the Role

Unilabs is transforming its technology operating model by centralising core services while maintaining local expertise. As Head of Network & Communications, you will define and lead the global network strategy, ensuring secure, scalable and resilient connectivity across all markets to support business operations and digital transformation.

This is a global leadership role responsible for the strategy, architecture, implementation and continuous improvement of Unilabs' network and communications infrastructure, while managing external partners and vendors.

Travel: European travel required.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the global network and communications strategy aligned with Unilabs' technology roadmap.
  • Lead network modernisation initiatives, including cloud networking, SD-WAN and automation.
  • Collaborate with global technology teams to deliver a modern, scalable network platform.
  • Lead and mentor a global team while managing third-party providers.
Network Architecture & Security
  • Design and manage secure, resilient and scalable network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, 4G/5G).
  • Drive Zero Trust security principles and collaborate closely with Cyber Security teams.
  • Oversee global network architecture across data centres and cloud environments.
Operations & Service Management
  • Ensure high availability, performance and reliability of global network services.
  • Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs and operational metrics.
  • Lead major incident management and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Manage relationships with telecommunications providers, MSPs and technology vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective, high-performing network services.
Governance & Business Continuity
  • Define global standards, policies and governance for network services.
  • Ensure compliance, resilience, disaster recovery and business continuity across all locations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Network Architecture & Communications.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience with: Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP); SD-WAN; Network automation; Zero Trust networking; Network security and cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing global vendors and outsourced services.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven networking, predictive analytics and observability is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, CISSP or similar) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
