The Role
Lead regional marketing for MENA, owning budget and revenue targets, managing brand and media relationships, tracking brand health, escalating regulatory/reputational risks, delivering performance under regulatory constraints, and leading a small regional team.
Summary Generated by Built In
Capital.com operates across five regulated jurisdictions, each with different rules, different cultural realities, and different payback timelines for every marketing dollar. We built this role to own MENA's commercial outcomes without creating the shortcuts that eventually damage trust, brand integrity, or regulatory standing. You'll hold the budget and the results, but not the brand rules, the channel standards, or the behavioral guardrails. Those belong to centrally governed Centres of Excellence, and the job is delivering strong regional performance while operating inside that system, not around it.

Responsibilities:

  • Own regional commercial outcomes across all marketing-driven revenue streams, with accountability measured over quarters, not weeks.
  • Allocate the regional marketing budget across approved channels and initiatives, making trade-offs with clear rationale rather than reactive pressure.
  • Prioritise what matters for the market within global constraints, including the discipline to deprioritise opportunities that look locally attractive but carry systemic risk.
  • Manage local brand, OOH, TV, radio, podcast, affiliate, and influencer relationships in close coordination with central Centres of Excellence, who retain authority over execution quality, standards, and risk.
  • Track local brand health and digital reputation metrics as managed assets, acting on what they reveal before the numbers become a problem.
  • Escalate regulatory, cultural, or reputational risks early and factually to the CMO and relevant CoE leads, before they become crises you're explaining rather than signals you flagged.
  • Absorb commercial pressure without passing it downstream or externalizing it through risky brand, media, or partner behavior.
  • Lead a small regional marketing team where market scale and complexity demand it.

Requirements:

    Industry Knowledge
  • You've owned marketing budgets and commercial outcomes in a regulated consumer industry. Financial services, fintech, or trading/brokerage experience is preferred. Other regulated sectors are considered.
  • You understand brand-led channels (OOH, TV, radio, podcasts) and performance channels, including affiliate and influencer ecosystems across the MENA region. Billboards, transit ads, and local sponsorships are familiar territory, not aspirational.
  • You know how commercial decisions in markets like the UAE, where the SCA framework shapes permissible conduct, directly affect regulatory posture and long-term brand trust.

  • Problem-Solving
  • You identify the few initiatives that genuinely matter in a complex, matrixed, centrally governed environment. You also know how to say no to everything else.
  • You assess commercial upside and reputational risk at the same time, not sequentially.
  • You make budget trade-offs under constraint without defaulting to short-term optimization or metric chasing.

  • Collaboration & Influence
  • You've operated in a matrix where you influence without full control, working through Centres of Excellence rather than around them.
  • You manage stakeholders at C-suite level across marketing, compliance, risk, and PR without needing to escalate everything or avoid conflict entirely.
  • You escalate early. You'd rather flag a risk that turns out to be manageable than manage a crisis that could have been flagged.

  • Mindset & Style
  • Calm authority rather than charismatic force. You hold your position without needing to win the room.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity without loss of discipline.
  • Willingness to be unpopular in the short term when the long-term trade-off is clear.
  • Low ego, high accountability. You own results without needing credit and own failures without deflection.
  • Fluent Arabic and English required.

What you will get in return:

    • Competitive Salary: We believe great work deserves great pay! Your skills and talents will be rewarded with a salary that makes you feel valued and motivated.
    • Work-Life Harmony: Join a company that genuinely cares about you -because your life outside of work matters just as much as your time on the clock.
    • Generous Time Off: Need a breather? Our annual leave policy lets you recharge and enjoy life outside of work without a worry.
    • Employee Referral Program: Love working here? Share the love! Bring your talented friends on board and get rewarded for growing our awesome team.
    • Comprehensive Health Benefits: We’ve got your back with a medical insurance plan. Plus, location-specific benefits and perks!
    • Workation Wonderland: Live your digital nomad dreams with 30 extra days to work remotely from anywhere in the world (some restrictions apply). Adventure awaits!
    • Volunteer Days: Make a difference! Take two additional paid days each year to support causes you care about and give back to the community.

Skills Required

  • Experience owning regional marketing budgets and delivering commercial outcomes in a matrixed organization
  • Commercial judgment across brand-led channels, affiliate/influencer ecosystems, and both long- and short-cycle demand
  • Ability to weigh commercial upside against reputational, regulatory, and behavioural risk
  • Composure under pressure; outcome-focused
  • Confident stakeholder management at C-suite level across marketing, compliance, risk, and PR
  • Fluent English and working proficiency in the relevant regional language
  • Fintech, brokerage, or regulated financial services background
  • Experience in a Centre of Excellence or centre-led marketing model
  • Familiarity with financial promotions compliance (FCA COBS 4, MiFID II, or equivalent)
  • Additional European or regional language
