Grow Vison Care market and increase sales/market share for Alcon Vision Care strategic brands through excellent, industry leading marketing activities across 10 countries in Africa Cluster (another 20 are in the development). Develop and implement marketing plans, marketing objectives and promotional programs across Africa and across both contact lenses and dry eye products. Plan and control product launches, advertising and promotional plans, brand review presentations and analysis, A&P budget, agency management, alignment with the IMG strategy and objectives etc. Commit Alcon Sales Force & distributors to ensure excellence in the implementation of promotional activities and keep their knowledge about competitors up to date. This role is important in facilitating the relationship between Cluster Franchise Head and Third-Party Partner.
In this role, a typical day will include:

Design & execute brand trade and consumer strategy, marketing mix and operational plans to achieve financial objectives. Development and maintenance control over Marketing Budget. Cooperation with local distributors on Plan of Actions and marketing strategy.

Create the brand(s) trade & consumer plans, identify growth opportunities and develop strategic imperatives to distribute the product(s) to consumers widely align with Africa Cluster commercial strategy.

Be a brand champion to create focus and enthusiasm internally and externally with customer, consumers and agencies.

Partnering with Distributors to understand market dynamics, insights and collect channel distribution information, supporting the Franchise Head and Marketing team to develop tailor strategies

Lead successfully cooperation and alignment with Regulatory on New Product Launches

Lead cooperation and alignment with Professional affairs on professional education projects
-
Lead cooperation and alignment with APL on Product distribution and supply
-
Leading Alcon strategy implementation in distributor markets including guiding their marketing teams

Effectively plan and implement trade actions, trade marketing and consumer marketing activities including distribution, recommendation, merchandising strategies in wholesaler, pharmacy chains, buying groups, and independent pharmacy channels of the Alcon Ocular Health portfolio to maximize revenue and market share of the defined portfolio(s).

Lead development and delivery of promotional campaign materials from insights to review, production and implementation. Support sales team with pharmacy and consumer PoS materials and other relevant tools.

Develop band awareness and loyalty. Plan and execute direct to consumer media campaigns including PR articles, print advertising, TV, Radio and online campaigns. Set and measure KPIs to optimize media budget.

Participation in achievement of Sales and Market Share Goals: Analysis and evaluation of market data with key-comments and proposals for marketing and sales activities.

Regular field visits to meet key customers and develop market knowledge and support customers.

VC A&Ps and Samples Monitoring

Coordinate Marketing Input during QBRs, LF and Target Preparation

Manage Ophthalmology KOLs across the country and establish strong relations with key customers.

Manage the tender business in Egypt

Responsible for the lifecycle of specific products in portfolio, ensuring marketing support that will facilitate achievements of sales objectives

Represents Africa Cluster in IMG, shaping and influencing centrally developed materials to meet local market needs

Collaborate with sales, market access, regulatory, finance and other Business Units so all key stakeholders understand and are able to deliver the marketing plan

Ensure compliance with industry code of practices and internal compliance requirements Coach the team members to develop and succeed in current and future roles
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Education :
-
University degree in bioscience or optometry or business/economics
-
Advanced degree in bioscience, medicine, optometry, business, and /or economics
-
MBA would be preferred
Languages:
-
Fluency in English and Arabic essential
Experience:
-
Proven track-record of commercial leadership responsibility in multiple geographies
-
More than 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing leadership and distributor management in the healthcare industry

In-depth understanding of different country market environment
-
Strong relationships with KOLs, key accounts and customers
-
Proven track record of successful new product launch planning and execution
-
Proven ability and experience of risk assessment and management
-
Strong results orientation, and willingness to have extensive involvement in Region / Country strategic Business operations

IT literacy is expected on all common Windows applications

Excellent persuasive and influencing skills
