Job Description
Get to Know Our Team:
The Market Insights Team helps shape strategic and operational decisions in the company by providing compelling insights into industry developments, market movements and competitive dynamics in the businesses that Grab operates - namely transport, food, payments, and platform services. Our value proposition comes from the diverse lenses through which we evaluate the landscape, made possible by many offbeat techniques used to complement traditional research. Our work can sometimes be seen as, exciting, and mysterious, and we are trusted and given the freedom to explore and improve. Within the team, we embrace a culture of teamwork, empowerment, creativity, diversity, humour, and diligence. You will manage a team. The role will be reporting to the Senior Leadership. You will be based onsite in Grab Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Synthesise insights from the broader team and develop a strategic view of the external business environment to help shape stakeholders' perspectives.
- Co-develop long-term programs to increase/ sustain the organisation's advantages.
- Co-develop the team's methodologies to track market trends to ensure they are reflective of latest market conditions
- Explore new data and qualitative intel sources to gain insights on the market and competition
- Promote a company culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging collaboration.
- Provide a sounding board to senior leaders in the organisation to add an external dimension when considering projects against wider goals.
- Interpret trends and market activity, using to "connect the dots"
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, working with individuals across multiple seniority levels
- Work with the Tech team to build scalable solutions on monitoring competitor activity
Qualifications
What Essential Skill you will Need:
- 5+ of experience in a management consulting or tech industry
- Passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems
- Motivated by, you are in your quest for knowledge, tirelessly looking for new information sources. You are always pushing boundaries to gain deeper insights and understanding.
- Comfortable with failing and has the desire to keep trying
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative analysis, also the financial modeling
- Familiarity with the Indonesia ride-hailing and food delivery industries
- Ability to speak Bahasa & English
