CEQUENS is seeking an experience Head of Legal to play a pivotal role in our legal team. this individual will offer strategic legal guidance on a broad spectrum of legal matters, reinforcing our commitment to compliance and ethical conduct. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp acumen for problem-solving and a robust ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. This role is tailor-made for a legal professional seeking to exert a substantial impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Strategic Legal Counsel: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and various departments, providing insights on legal risks, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

- Legal Research & Counsel: Conduct thorough research and offer counsel on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property rights, and litigation.

- Expertise in International Laws: Provide expertise in navigating international legal landscapes, ensuring compliance with laws across different jurisdictions.

- Company Formation and Restructuring: Advise on legal aspects of company formation, structural changes, and legal restructuring processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.

- Contract Management: Skillfully review, draft, negotiate, and revise various contracts and agreements, upholding legal integrity and corporate goals.

- Policy Development & Compliance: Create and enforce internal governance policies and procedures, emphasizing compliance, risk management, and ethical practices.

- Legal Representation & Liaison: Act as the company's legal representative in proceedings and as a liaison with external parties, including attorneys and government agencies.

- Regulatory Acumen: Keep abreast of and interpret changing laws and regulations, providing relevant guidance to ensure company-wide compliance.

- Training & Development: Lead internal training programs to cultivate a culture of legal compliance and awareness among staff.


Requirements
    • Strong knowledge of both Middle East and North African laws is a must
    • Professional Experience: A proven track record in a Legal Manager or similar role within the technology is a must - ideally in SaaS or CPaaS industry.
    • Educational Background: Equivalent law degree and masters from a recognized institution.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional abilities in both written and verbal communication, with the capacity to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to solving complex legal scenarios.
    • Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role, collaborate across departments, and guide teams with a strategic vision.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: A deep understanding of legal regulations and corporate governance practices.
    • Adaptability: The agility to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, while efficiently managing multiple priorities.
