As the Head of Legal Operations, you will drive the transformation of legal operations through innovative technology solutions. You will lead key processes such as legal spend, reporting, and horizon scanning, while developing and maintaining automation solutions using Power Automate and chatbot technologies. Collaborating with tech teams, you will create and manage custom apps with Power Apps, optimize data reporting with Power BI, and enhance legal intranet spaces on Workvivo and SharePoint. Additionally, you will champion the Legal Lab innovation program, and research AI solutions to improve legal service delivery and operational efficiency.

You’ll help us make health happen through:

  • Legal operations support – Leading and delivering on legal operation activities, including key processes such as legal spend, legal reporting and horizon scanning.
  • Drive automation - Develop, implement and actively manage/ maintain automation solutions to streamline legal processes and improve operational efficiency, using native technologies such as Power Automate and available chatbot solutions.
  • Build & manage bespoke apps - Work closely with our tech teams to create and actively manage/ maintain custom apps using Microsoft Power Apps to support the needs of our Legal community of teams; also helping to optimise, manage and maintain existing Power Platform solutions to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Enhance data & reporting – Design, manage and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide insights and analytics.
  • Enhancing Legal spaces - Help improve, manage, and maintain the design and content legal intranet spaces on Workvivo and SharePoint.
  • Process optimisation - Collaborate with legal team members to document processes, identify opportunities for process improvements, and capture requirements.
  • Legal Lab / Changemaker – Chair and champion our Legal Lab (legal innovation programme) providing input and advice on submitted ideas to help the Legal Lab committee evaluate ideas effectively. Playing a key role helping to progress change ideas throughout the discovery, design, and delivery stages, ensuring effective change management is undertaken to help deliver successful change solutions.
  • AI focussed - Research, investigate and deliver AI solutions to enhance legal service delivery, customer experience and legal operations. Helping us to optimise the legal teams use of existing AI tools like Copilot

Key skills needed for this role:

  • Knowledge of and experience using Contract Express and HighQ
  • Developing, testing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Knowledge and ability to Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365) and third-party applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining SharePoint sites and intranet solutions like Workvivo.
  • Strong understanding of M365 and office applications, particularly Excel.
