Head of Large, Complex & International Claims - Finland
Material damages can cause inconvenience and economical loss, and our customers needs to have a trusted advisor that can navigate and help our customer back to business again. As Head of Large, Complex & International Claims in Finland, you will have a leading role in our claims unit that takes care of claims within Property, Cargo, Liability for Ifs Commercial & Industrial clients.
Claims is a crucial part of If from a financially, people and customer perspective. In 2024, Claims handled ca 36 BSEK of the 60 BSEK Nordic premiums, employed 1.950 persons and took care of about 2 million customer claims.
About the role
You will be heading the Large, Complex & International Claims unit in Finland with app. 55 people with a clear mandate and support from a dedicated management team. The unit is end-to-end responsible for Property, Liability, Cyber, Transport and Legal Advice claims for If's Commercial and Industrial customers.
Your team’s main responsibility is to help our customers to get back in business in a safe and easy way, with a strong business mindset leading to impressive customer experience. You develop your team through consistent and trustful behavior with a high focus on service, insurance and business coaching and training. Succeeding in this role requires close collaboration with our customers and other units in If, such as Sales, Product & Price, Underwriting, Digital and the rest of Claims. Therefore, the ability to bring people together, communicate a clear direction, and with others create forward momentum, is key.
Your responsibility will also be
- The strategic development and performance of the claims in Large, Complex & International claims Nordic & in Finland
- Design and manage end-to-end customer claims journeys.
- Develop our partnerships and secure preferential services and terms for If and our customers
- Responsible for the usage and performance of our digital solutions
- Collaborate with, customers, brokers and relevant stakeholders in all If
- People leadership, including and ensuring development and motivation building an engaged group of people
- Actively contribute to developing the culture in the claims-unit and for claims within If
