Primary Job Responsibilities:
The Head of IT Systems is the main point of contact within the organization responsible for supporting all software used at Grand Peaks. You will work closely with property operations, finance/accounting, asset management and IT to maintain, update, and optimize all property software utilized by Grand Peaks. This position will configure, troubleshoot, update, test, and enhance the software tools necessary to effectively support the property, asset and financial management aspects of the portfolio related entities and Grand Peaks. You will also assist with ongoing tracking, training, and coaching of internal system users, and lead the implementation of other software and hardware applications used within the organization.
This hire will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic objectives and leadership of the organization's information technology systems. We are looking for someone who has close working relationships with our key customers and can understand the challenges our customers face and propose solutions that can solve those problems.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of the comprehensive IT strategy and Systems Help Desk. This includes providing excellent customer service, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner, and following established policies and procedures.
• Be the RealPage system expert/superuser and provide end-user technical support on RealPage property management software programs, including OneSite, Ops Technology, Online Leasing, Doc Management, Marketing Center, etc. and other Property Management Applications.
• Manage implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization and ensure objects in RealPage (ex. Users, Properties, Unit Types, Units, Tenants, etc.) are always properly setup and configured.
• Build and maintain the RealPage system to effectively support property management operations, finance/accounting activities, compliance, and operational reporting for both site and corporate needs.
• Act as troubleshooter and solutions expert across all categories of RealPage users.
• Responsible for managing vendor relationships with IT support partners, driving efficient workflows, and providing performance KPIs.
• Manage help desk ticketing and providing ongoing support and development to staff with focus on customer service to the end user.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and optimize system efficiency.
• Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software applications used throughout the organization, such as property management systems, accounting software, and communication tools.
• Collaborate with our IT team to ensure the efficient development, implementation, and maintenance of our property management systems.
• Develop and implement best practice processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain and update user documentation, policies, procedures, and training materials related to systems.
• Research available system enhancements and upgrades to solve open work order requests and/or to achieve management goals.
• Develop strong working relationships with Operations and property teams.
• Identify and resolve IT-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist with other projects and assignments as assigned by leadership team.
• Manage computer inventory, procurement, and asset tracking functions.
• Serve as the point of contact for Grand Peak team members with system-related issues.
• Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Stay up to date with emerging IT trends and technologies to drive innovation and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the multifamily industry.
• 3+ years of IT software application support for end users.
• Strong working knowledge of property management software: Entrata, Appfolio, and RealPage are preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in apartment community operation sufficient to understand the processes, procedures, and daily workflow relative to the use of computer applications and property management systems.
• Ability to translate technical information to non-technical customers in a friendly, professional manner and a demonstrated ability to build strong end-user-focused relationships.
• Ability to develop productive business relationships with internal team members through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and clients.
• Able to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven record of providing strong customer service.
• Capable to travel, as needed.

Salary:
• $160k - $220k annually DOE + bonuses
