- Provide strategic direction and oversight of IT systems including architecture, applications, security, risk, and infrastructure.
- Responsible for leading the execution of Group IT Strategy in the Country.
- Lead the development of the IT strategy and roadmap; ensure its integration with the enterprise's strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
- Act as a trusted advisor and build/maintain relationships with other senior management and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities.
- Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of the enterprise and is within plan.
- Enhance the capabilities of IT by leveraging a multitude of resources, both internally and externally.
- Coordinate and ensure smooth operations of in-country IT services.
- Ensure compliance to IT policies and practices in the country.
- Provide feedback on Country IT performance to the Regional CIO.
- Manage systems and third- party suppliers to ensure service continuity.
- Audit IT systems and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Ensure the IT function works to service level agreements and compliance standards.
- Oversee the execution of various implementation projects and monitor process and system standards.

He/ She works with the business to resolve their IT related issues and implement the overall IT priorities and report IT performance in the Country.
