Who You'll Work With :
The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.
About The Role:
As a key member of the Enterprise Technology leadership team, the Head of Investments Technology will be responsible for developing and executing the technology strategy that supports Corebridge Financial’s growth and strategic objectives emphasizing the Investments division plans and goals. The candidate will lead the technology organization, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the technology infrastructure and systems, while driving innovation and ensuring an efficiency mindset is applied.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Continue the implementation and evolution of a technology strategy that aligns with the Investments business model and investing strategies, and overall company's goals. Partner with strategic vendors to align their roadmaps to Corebridge’s Business and Technology plans. Work across the various asset sectors to identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the individual and cross asset businesses. Serve as a technical advisor/liaison to the Investments Senior Leadership Team and other functional divisions leaders/stakeholders such as Actuarial, Finance, and Enterprise Risk Management.
Technology Infrastructure & Operations:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Investments technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud platforms inclusive of SaaS and ASP providers. Ensure Operational excellence is upheld, including all security, regulatory and compliance aspects; production systems uptime and reliability; and availability of data that are critical to the functioning of the eco-system. Manage technology budgets across direct and indirect expenses, also inclusive of oversight of key vendor software and hardware relationships and partnerships
Technology Innovation & Development:
Drive innovation in technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and enables new processing capabilities. Lead the development and implementation of new technologies, including internally built and externally sourced software applications, data analytics tools, and AI/ML solutions. Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies.
Team Leadership & Management:
Manage a team of 100+ technology resources throughout the US, Dublin, and India ensuring the development and leverage of strong technical capabilities and business acumens, inclusive of understanding and supporting front to back functions including origination and trading, collateral management, portfolio and risk mgmt., valuations, accounting and hedging. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment across the Investments and Enterprise Technology organizations, and broader Corebridge Technology teams
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred but not essential
Experience:
10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a strong track record in the the investment management and/or insurance asset management industry.
10+ years of managing teams of technologist in support of multiple cross Asset Sectors, with an emphasis on Derivatives, Private Capital, and Real Estate a plus
5+ years working with industry leafing Investments vendor platforms with an emphasis on BlackRock Aladdin, and Real Estate and Private Debt 3rd party vendor systems (e.g., Loan Mgmt System, Investran, etc) is a plus
Experience with cloud computing (3+ years, AWS preferred), with exposure to data analytics, and AI/ML technologies.
5+ years' experience working with offshore service providers and 3rd party vendors.
5+ years' experience working with C-level executives and senior Business leaders
Skills:
Strong understanding of how an Investment Business works either from an Investment Management perspective and/or supporting an internal General account within an insurance company
Strong understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternatives, Real Estate assets, and Private Capital products in addition to concepts around origination, trading and accounting/settlement processing
Strong understanding and experience with technology infrastructures and software development implementations that supports Investment Management and/or Capital Markets.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, projects, and resources effectively.
Compensation
For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $240,000 - $300,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location:
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Jersey City, NJ office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
