About the role :
The Asst Manager - Intercompany India will be overseeing all aspects of intercompany transactions and Trade Compliance for India and NZ sourced product. Partnering with Freight Forwarder(s) this role ensures compliant, efficient, and optimized movement of goods and documentation which aligns with local market regulations. The incumbent will mitigate risk, uphold regulatory requirements, and foster strong business partnerships to optimize costs and maximize value across international borders. He/she will report to the Head of Intercompany and Trade Compliance APACSA, with collaborative connections to Indian Supply Chain and Global Supply Chain teams, Legal, Procurement and Finance.
The role reports to Manager - Intercompany and Trade Compliance. This role will be based at Gurugram, Haryana.

Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
International Logistics & Freight Forwarder Management
- Manage relationships with regional freight forwarders and ocean carriers to optimize international sea freight processes for Indian and NZ sourced product.
- Monitor shipment performance, transit times, carrier service levels, and exception management.
- Analyse Order to Cash processes, contract terms, and service commitments to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensure cold chain integrity and compliance with product-specific handling requirements.
Trade Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure all cross-border trade activities align with global, regional, and local customs regulations, including export controls, import requirements, and food safety standards.
- With support of Freight Forwarding partners maintain accurate and compliant documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, health certificates, etc.).
Intercompany Order Management
- Coordinate seamless intercompany order and inventory flows between global manufacturing sites and international markets.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in order processing, documentation, and system workflows and opportunities for automation and/or out sourcing of repetitive manual tasks
- Improve lead-time accuracy, order visibility, and end-to-end process reliability.
Cost Optimization & Value Creation
- Analyze landed cost drivers (freight, duties, port charges, surcharges) and implement initiatives that reduce total cost-to-serve.
- Identify opportunities for network optimization, consolidation strategies, and process automation.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, compliance, and customer service enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support new product launches, new market entries, and regulatory reviews related to export/import requirements.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on trade requirements and global logistics for internal teams.
Risk Mitigation & Process Governance
- Develop and maintain SOPs for trade compliance, international shipping, and documentation processes.
- Manage incident or non-compliance investigations and implement corrective actions.

About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 5-7 years' experience in international logistics, trade compliance, or global supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight, customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government trade authorities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, or similar) and global trade management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or temperature-controlled logistics.
- Preferred knowledge of free trade agreements, duty reduction programs, and global compliance standards.
