As Head of Insights, you are the driving force behind Statista's insights organization and ensure that the team delivers high-quality, relevant insights based on our data at scale in an increasingly AI-driven landscape. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, you lead six Team Leads and a department of approximately 40 team members, shaping how Statista creates, curates, and delivers data-driven insights to millions of users worldwide.
Your Role
Define and continuously evolve the strategic value proposition of Statista's insights offering, ensuring its relevance and differentiation in an AI-dominated world
Drive automation across the insights production workflow to significantly increase output while optimizing team capacity and resource allocation
Design and implement scalable, AI-first processes that enable your teams to produce insights more efficiently without compromising on quality
Establish and manage systematic quality assurance frameworks that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and editorial standard of all published insights
Own topic setting and editorial direction, aligning closely with data production and general production steering to ensure a coherent strategy across the organization
Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to build and continuously improve the tools, pipelines, and scalable infrastructure needed to support automated insights production
Leverage analytics and customer usage data to evaluate the impact of published insights, inform topic prioritization, and thus drive measurable value for Statista's users
Lead, develop, and empower six Team Leads, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
Your Profile
A genuine AI-first mindset with a clear vision for how artificial intelligence and automation can transform insights production at scale
Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes that balance efficiency with quality in a fast-paced, output-driven environment
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience aligning cross-functional teams such as data production, data engineering, and product around shared goals and priorities
A data-driven approach to editorial and topic-setting decisions, with the ability to translate customer analytics into actionable insights strategies that drive real impact
Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution skills, comfortable operating at both the big-picture and operational level
Outstanding communication skills in English, able to influence and align stakeholders across senior leadership, production, and technical teams
An analytical, structured approach to decision-making and a track record of using data to drive operational improvements
Experience in managing teams / managers is a plus
