Functional (job responsibilities)
Responsible in innovating, developing, formulating, designing and packaging Personal Financial
Services-i Financing & Wealth Management products from initiation to product launch.
Responsible for preparation of product approvals to approving parties i.e. Shariah Committee, PVPSC, PVPC, BARMC, BOD & BNM
Establish new products / Enhance variation products’ documentations i.e. application forms, terms & conditions, product disclosure sheets, SOP, etc.
Coordinate and liaise with other departments i.e. Business Unit (PFS-i), Legal, Shariah and Compliance to ensure process flows and documentations are in place and compliance prior to product launch.
Responsible in ensuring all the necessary approvals (internal & external) are obtained prior to product launch.
Conduct product training on new/variation products, when necessary.
Responsible for implementation of new/updated regulatory requirements i.e. Guidelines/policy document by BNM or Acts and any internal policy/guidelines which affect product development.
Conduct comparative studies, research and development for new & current products in Islamic Finance for continuous improvement.
Prepare service request forms (SRF) to facilitate back-end channel parameter maintenance for all Investment Account products.
Prepare Hong Leong Online request forms (HLO) to facilitate front-end channel parameter maintenance for all Investment Account products.
Manage periodic and ad-hoc exception handling cases for all Investment Account products to resolution.
Assist branches/Relationship managers (RMs) in the on boarding and account opening of Investment Account wholesale customers.
Prepare service request forms (SRF) to facilitate timely Term Investment Account wholesale account opening.
Responsibility for the formulation of financial institution’s recovery plan, recovery planning process and the implementation of recovery plan.
Responsibility for implementing the financial institution’s operational resilience framework, including outsourcing risk, business continuity and disaster recovery management.
Responsibility for the integrity of all regulatory reporting.
Where relevant, responsibility to ensure that the operations, business, affairs and activities of the financial institution are in compliance with Shariah requirements at all times.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
Lead, guide and support subordinates in the team to achieve relevant KRAs.
Provide support to team members where necessary between units (units within HLISB or HLBB).
Support overall assigned tasks relevant to the product development department.
To ensure timely submission for all deliverables.
To participate in team meetings and provide value add where relevant.
To highlight project/operational dependencies and timeline risks to Investment Account project lead.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities)
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and external vendors to develop and circulate User Requirements Specifications (URS).
Perform timely project status updates on Investment Account projects pertaining to back-end and front end enhancements.
Provide post implementation support to HLISB Personal Financial Services (PFS-i), HLISB Business Corporate Banking (BCB-i) and branches.
Assist in coordinating Investment Account enhancement implementation across branches
Prepare and execute User Acceptability Test (UAT) scenarios and effectively close defects prior to implementation
Assist in preparing back-end/front-end enhancement project documentation (Business Memo & RCAT).
Education/Qualification
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial institution with specialization in project management, and/or branch operations support.
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, through all levels of the organization
Possess dynamic and positive working attitude towards multi-tasking and proactively seeks out opportunities to advance and implement improvements.
Independent, self-organized and able to work under tight deadlines
Excellent organizational and co-ordination skills, intellectually curious.
Good proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
