What you will do:
- Serve as Arable’s senior irrigation agronomy expert, providing guidance to growers and internal teams.
- Partner directly with growers to understand operations and decision-making processes, across various irrigation practices.
- Educate and coach growers on using Arable’s system effectively, helping them adopt best practices and trust the data, including ET-based irrigation decisions.
- Develop materials and resources that make data actionable and easy to understand.
- Present to both large groups and 1:1 sessions, building credibility and strong relationships.
- Mentor internal teams and consultants on answering grower questions and supporting technology adoption.
- Travel to project sites to work directly with growers and devices in the field.
- Influence adoption strategies and support the implementation of irrigation and agronomy solutions across diverse regions.
What you bring:
- Strong background in irrigation agronomy and crop management.
- Familiarity with evapotranspiration (ET) and its application in irrigation management.
- Experience working directly with growers and understanding their decision-making processes.
- Skilled at teaching, coaching, and mentoring growers and internal teams.
- Comfortable using technology to improve agricultural decisions.
- Ability to present confidently and earn trust with growers and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% and engage hands-on with growers in the field
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
