Job Description
We are currently looking for a Head of Group Risk, where you will play a significant role in ensuring the industry-leading risk management practices across the Group. You will be covering all relevant risk categories: market (commodity), liquidity, regulatory, operational, credit, and sustainability risks, with the special focus on market (commodity) risks. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Creating and implementing a risk management strategy based on the overall Group strategy
- Covering all relevant risk categories: market (commodity), liquidity, regulatory, operational, credit, and sustainability risks
- Developing and implementing Group-wide risk management policies, procedures, methodologies, and risk registers for continuous risk management
- Leading the identification, measurement, management, and communication of risks across the Group
- Special focus on market (commodity) risks and exposures. Review and update group-wide market (commodity) risk management (incl. hedging positions and exposures), monitoring, and reporting
- Preparing risk management reports, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership (incl. Group Management Board, Group Supervisory Board committees). Combine, measure, and present all group risks in a single clear format, with exposure breakdowns by business units and by countries
- Working closely with a range of stakeholders: business units, functions, countries, management and supervisory bodies
- Building and leading a professional team of top experts
- Steering of external consultants and auditors
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in large organizations
- 5+ years of experience in risk management functions within finance, insurance, energy trading, or similar business sectors
- Strong leadership skills, ability to organize teamwork and develop the team and its members
- Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
- Interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively form trusted relationships with business unit/country/function management teams but at the same time retain an ability to challenge with empathy and understanding
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking, ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in English
Would be an advantage:
- Experience in energy sector
- Experience in commodity hedging / exposure management
- Risk management related certifications (e.g. FRM, CRM, IRM, CFA)
