Review and draft various types of contracts and other legal documentation for the Group.
Manage and negotiate contracts with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely finalisation for execution.
Provide legal counsel, advice, and guidance to the Group on both general and specialised areas of law.
Identify and escalate legal, regulatory, and compliance issues within the Group.
Develop and implement legal policies related to contract management and compliance.
Review, update, and maintain standard legal templates as required.
Act as the main interface with business units and technical teams on legal issues and strategies.
Establish and oversee legal policies, procedures, and ensure compliance.
Oversee departmental administrative matters and manage the department’s budget.
Drive operational efficiency within the legal department.
Manage departmental resources effectively.
Undertake projects and assignments as directed by the Chief Counsel.
Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Honours) or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years of working experience in a legal environment, preferably with exposure to corporate and commercial law.
Strong negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage resources and departmental operations.
