Head of Group Accounting & Finance Transformation (f/m/d)

As Head of Group Accounting & Finance Transformation, your mission is to build and continuously evolve the financial backbone of our company, scaling our finance organisation as the business grows in revenue, geographic reach and operational complexity.

You will take ownership of our core accounting and finance operations, ensuring robust financial processes, regulatory compliance and the integrity and reliability of our financial data. At the same time, you will build the structures, standards and systems needed to support a fast-growing international organisation.

But this role goes well beyond leading a traditional accounting function. We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited about automation, AI-driven finance transformation and building scalable, technology-enabled finance operations. Strong accounting expertise is essential - but on its own, it won’t be enough to match the ambition of this role.

You enjoy challenging the status quo, simplifying complex processes and exploring how modern finance technology, automation and AI can fundamentally improve efficiency, data quality, decision-making and scalability. You combine strong financial expertise with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset and the drive to turn transformation ideas into solutions that actually work.

• Take end-to-end ownership of Accounting, Finance Operations, Treasury and related finance processes, including people leadership.

• Lead and develop the Accounting, Treasury and Tax team, creating clear ownership, reliable processes and a consistently high standard of execution.

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Build and continuously improve scalable finance processes, structures, standards and internal controls to support a growing organisation.

• Lead audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors and other external partners.

• Act as a key commercial sparring partner for leaders and teams across the organisation, bringing a strong finance perspective to business decisions.

• Work closely with the CFO and Leadership Team and proactively manage key stakeholders across the business.

• Drive the evolution of our finance systems and leverage automation and AI to reduce manual work, increase efficiency and make our finance operations ready to scale.

• Identify and manage financial and accounting risks and provide support on tax-related matters.

• A degree in Accounting and/or Tax, Finance or a comparable field, combined with several years of experience working in an international environment.

• Strong expertise in Accounting and Tax, with solid knowledge of both IFRS and HGB.

• A hands-on mindset and the ability to move confidently between operational finance topics and broader commercial challenges.

• Proven leadership skills and experience building, developing and enabling high-performing Finance and Accounting teams.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and a genuine business-partner mindset, with the ability to work effectively across functions and seniority levels.

• Hands-on experience building and scaling finance processes, structures and systems, ideally including the use of automation and AI.

• A structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working, with a strong bias for action and execution.

• Experience in a fast-moving industrial, technology or manufacturing environment - ideally within a start-up, scale-up or growth-oriented mid-sized company.

• Willingness to regularly spend time at our Ludwigsburg / Stuttgart location.

• Fluency in German and English; English is our company language.
