The Role

Job Description SummaryExecutive Director, Global IT - Supply Chain, Services, and Engineering Systems will lead a global team responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of IT solutions that enhance the company’s supply chain, services, and engineering systems. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, supply chain processes, and engineering systems to drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for global supply chain, services, and engineering systems that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

IT Operations and Infrastructure:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure supporting supply chain, services, and engineering systems.
  • Ensure robust IT governance, security, and compliance across all systems and processes.

Project Management:

  • Manage large-scale IT projects, including ERP implementations, system integrations, and technology upgrades, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and adoption.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement emerging technologies and best practices to enhance supply chain, services, and engineering processes.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and external partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational excellence.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT budget for supply chain, services, and engineering systems, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on supply chain, services, and engineering systems.
  • Proven track record of leading global IT teams and managing large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, engineering systems, and related technologies.
  • Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Supply Chain applications (i.e. Kinexis) and other relevant technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in a complex, global environment.
