As Head of Global Purchasing Governance & Contracts, you will drive global transformation by redefining purchasing agreements, strengthening supplier partnerships, and shaping a future-ready procurement framework across regions and business units. Working closely with our established Purchasing Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure a consistent, strategic, and value-driven approach to procurement worldwide.
- Drive the global purchasing contracts and agreements strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting long-term organizational success
- Develop best-in-class contract standards, terminology, and governance frameworks
- Lead the digital transformation of contract management, including AI-driven solutions and process simplification
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Procurement stakeholders to develop robust contract solutions that balance risk, value creation, and operational needs
- Provide expert negotiation support to global purchasing teams, advising on contractual language, commercial trade-offs, risk mitigation, and financial implications
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure contract compliance, process excellence, and sustainable business value
- Lead cross-functional projects to implement and optimize purchasing documentation and agreement processes
- Strengthen data-driven decision-making across Purchasing, Logistics, and Supply Chain functions
- Identify and mitigate supplier, commercial, financial, sustainability and geopolitical risks
- Translate sustainability trends and regulatory requirements into supplier expectations and sourcing strategies
Who we are looking for:
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and insights into effective business decisions and measurable results
- Solid understanding of global supply chain risk management, emerging procurement technologies, and market trends
- Strong global mindset with the ability to think and act beyond regional boundaries, balancing local requirements with global business objectives.
- Willingness to travel on business to the extent of 30 % (based on calendar year)
Your preferred qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Solid professional experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, with a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives, global negotiations, and sourcing excellence
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across global cross-functional teams
- Fluency in German and English, combined with a proactive, results-oriented, and innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
What you can look forward to:
It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. The gross monthly salary for 38.5 hours according to the collective agreement for the automotive industry is at least € 86.800 (14 x p.a.) for this position. Overpayment based on relevant experience and qualifications is common practice.
