Job Responsibilities:

As part of Magna Powertrain’s global Digitalization & AI Solutions organization, you will lead the successful IT delivery of digitalization and AI initiatives from initial scoping through implementation, rollout and operational handover.

You will work at the intersection of business, IT, engineering and operations, coordinating cross-functional and cross-site teams to turn relevant opportunities into scalable digital solutions that deliver measurable value. In this role, you will provide strong IT project and delivery leadership while working closely with Business Project Managers and Business Owners.


  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of digitalization and AI projects, from initial scoping and requirements alignment through planning, implementation, rollout, stabilization and operational handover
  • Translate business needs into actionable IT project scope, requirements and solution documents together with Business Owners, key users, architects and technical experts
  • Manage IT project planning, timelines, budgets, quality, risks, dependencies, resources and suppliers, and align stakeholders across plants, engineering locations and central functions
  • Work closely with the Business Project Manager and Business Owner on priorities, milestones, and dependencies
  • Coordinate and manage external suppliers and implementation partners
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities, pilot executions, productive deployments and multi-site rollouts
  • Support Magna Powertrain’s Digitalization & AI strategy
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our IT project delivery practices and support a collaborative digital mindset across the organization

Who we are looking for:


  • Project Management Skills and experience with process optimization and change management
  • Analytical mindset and ability to structure complex delivery topics
  • Readiness for occasional regional travel in Europe and international travel when required (app. 5-10%)

Your preferred qualifications:


  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Innovation Management, Computer Science, Informatics or comparable studies
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience including responsibility for complex IT, digitalization, data, AI or enterprise-software projects
  • Experience with agile, hybrid and/or traditional project-management approaches
  • Practical experience with Jira/Confluence and certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or ITIL are an advantage
  • Working understanding of relevant technologies in the area of AI/ML, digital twins, smart factory, manufacturing IT, data analytics, cloud and enterprise integration
  • Strong communication skills in German and English

What you can look forward to:

It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. The gross monthly salary for 38.5 hours according to the collective agreement for the automotive industry is at least € 3.802,93 (14 x p.a.) for this position. Overpayment based on relevant experience and qualifications is common practice.
