Join us in our exciting quest to build the future home.

All about the role:

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Director level professional to lead the architecture, development, and transformation of our global Data & AI Platform and Data Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE).

You will drive strategic initiatives across data engineering and developer experience (DevEx) for AI, Data, and Analytics Engineering, working closely with functional teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, future-ready solutions. This includes shaping the vision, building high-performing teams, and ensuring our platforms support critical business and infrastructure needs.

What you'll do:

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Data & AI Platform and Engineering initiatives across the organization.
• Manage data engineers embedded in business data domains (data mesh), ensuring alignment with shared engineering standards and domain priorities.
• Lead the Data Engineering CoE to promote consistency, best practices, and continuous learning across all data teams.
• Support the migration from legacy data and AI platforms to the Global Data & AI (GDAI) ecosystem, ensuring a smooth transition and tangible business impact.
• Build and scale data engineering and platform teams, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.
• Drive the design and implementation of scalable, reliable infrastructure for data and AI workloads, including pipelines, storage, and access layers.
• Champion modern architectures (e.g., lakehouse, real-time streaming, self-service analytics) and cloud-native solutions.
• Lead DevEx strategy for AI, Data, and Analytics Engineering—enabling seamless development, deployment, and experimentation through platform tooling, automation, and abstraction.
• Support a federated data culture through data mesh principles, empowering domain-oriented ownership and interoperability.
• Drive data discoverability across the organization through metadata management, cataloging, and intuitive platform interfaces.
• Establish best practices for software development, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and lifecycle management across data and AI systems.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and Responsible AI standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and cloud service providers, contributing to budget planning and contract negotiations.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in data and platform engineering, sharing insights internally and externally.

Who you are:

This high-impact role combines leadership, deep technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our platforms are scalable, secure, and deliver measurable business value through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in Software/Data Engineering, including 6+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in building and operating large-scale data platforms and developer platforms in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data architecture, DevEx tooling, and modern stacks (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/GCP/AWS, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Deep understanding of platform engineering principles and developer enablement for AI/ML, data, and analytics workflows.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing strategy, roadmaps, and transformational plans.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data technologies are a plus.

Where you'll be:

This is a position based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm (Sweden).

We are proud of our culture of inclusivity and diversity. At our Global Headquarters we have 60+ nationalities working together for our common goals. You will be part of this dynamic international team where English is the natural language.

Benefit highlights include:
