The Role & What You Will Be Doing

As the Head of Global Commercial Insights, you will lead, scale and manage our data analytics and insights capability. You will be responsible for enabling access to actionable insights to support the organization's commercial strategic objectives.

The role involves overseeing the collection, synthesis and analysis of market data, competitive intelligence, internal performance data and customer engagement data to generate insights to guide commercial decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance and local commercial organizations, to ensure alignment with business objectives.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of pharma commercial business, and excellent leadership abilities.

  • Lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of strategic Commercial Insights, serving as a key advisor to commercial leaders by enabling high-quality, timely, and data-driven decisions

  • Besides managing the analytics needs of current business portfolio, the key focus of the role is to support global commercialization team by delivering comprehensive, objective, and globally consistent intelligence to drive critical decision-making and ensure the successful launch and commercialization of new assets and future pipeline

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to design solutions that meet strategic commercial objectives. Function as the primary point of contact for Commercial Insights

  • Deliver Actionable Insights: Develop analytical solutions embedded with qualitative insights (from secondary research and competitive intelligence) to simplify complexity and ensure business outcomes are achieved

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, market access, medical affairs, finance, and regional teams, ensuring insights are fully integrated and are comprehensive

  • Future-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrate a forward-thinking, outcome-focused, enterprise-wide approach in all initiatives

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical industry with broad experience in business analytics, commercial excellence

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or PhD) in business, data science, analytics, market research, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience in analytics and data science; interest in rolling up the sleeves and working with team

  • Strong experience across epidemiology, patient flows, market dynamics, payer intelligence, business modeling, and competitive landscapes, with emphasis on patient and HCP insights to shape marketing strategy

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities; ability to synthesize multiple sources of information into clear insights and recommendations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas with high proficiency in English. Ability to present insights and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with available secondary data sources and analytical methods

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in agile manner, take accountability, make decisions, being a self-starter

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets and identify patterns and trends
