We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of FP&A and Controlling to strengthen our finance team. This role is critical to drive the Financial performance of the business, by establishing the Finance rhythm and by producing key business insights to strengthen decision-making and to support the Company's growth.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Finance (country CFO), you will lead the Planning & Controlling Department in Portugal, on a national scope, and will be the main contact for the Unilabs Global Finance FP&A and Controlling teams, in a context of global transformation. You and your team will serve as key strategic partners to the Portugal Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and drive the Finance rhythm for Portugal, in alignment with Unilabs Global Finance processes and milestones
- Support the monthly internal reporting and closing process.
- Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, including producing underlying analyses and guidance to drive growth and efficiency.
- Produce the Finance Planning and Performance discussion and analysis documentation, including risk and opportunity analyses and outlooks.
- Act as a Business Partner to the Portugal Senior Leadership team and as a SPoC to the Global Finance FP&A and Controlling function
- Model the business cases (incl. commercial, investment, efficiency, transformation) to ensure efficient resource allocation. Track execution against target, and drive mitigation actions as required.
- Create and automate relevant and insightful analytics and dashboards that support decision making
- Optimize Cash in collaboration with the CFO, and with the invoicing, treasury and payables teams.
- Drive best in class processes, practices and models, and ensure continuous improvement within the department.
- Manage a team of 5 employees (skills development, management adaptability, challenge).

- Degree from a business School/ University in Management, Economics, or a compatible degree
- 10 years of leadership experience in management control in a highly transforming industrial environment
- fluent in English
- Integrity, rigour, proactivity, drive, adaptability and resilience
- Passion for people development and project management
- Proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
