The RoleAs LearnLux's Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, operations, and reporting as we continue to scale. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO, you will serve as a key strategic advisor across the organization and to the Board. You will lead FP&A, accounting, tax, and financial operations, while also contributing to broader business planning, capital strategy, and cross-functional execution.
This is a hands-on and high-impact leadership role that blends tactical excellence with strategic thinking. You will have the opportunity to grow and lead a finance team, build scalable systems, and shape the financial infrastructure for a rapidly growing B2B2C fintech company.
This role is 100% remote within the US with preference to candidates in the Boston, MA or New York, NY areas.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, COO, and Board, providing insights on growth strategy, financing options, capital efficiency, and business performance
- Lead and evolve FP&A, including company-wide forecasting, budgeting, planning, and scenario modeling
- Own and scale accounting operations, financial systems, audit readiness, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Client Success, People, Product, and Legal teams to align financial planning with company objectives
- Support go-to-market (GTM) initiatives by collaborating on pricing, renewals, and revenue expansion strategies
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports for executives, board members, and investors
- Manage external partners (e.g., accounting firms, tax advisors, and audit firms) and build the internal finance function
- Implement and maintain internal controls, reporting frameworks, and scalable processes for a growing global business
- Contribute to fundraising activities and investor relations as needed
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in high-growth SaaS or fintech environments
- Experience in the benefits and wellness industry is heavily preferred
- Experience building and scaling financial operations in Series A+ stage startups
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent credentials a plus
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, planning, and analysis for strategic decision-making
- Strong command of GAAP, accounting processes, audits, and compliance
- Demonstrated experience supporting capital raises, board reporting, and investor communications
- Exposure to exit strategy planning as part of long-term strategic planning
- Familiarity with global financial operations, including contractor payments and multi-currency transactions
- Hands-on experience with financial tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Carta, Ramp, and HubSpot
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to convey financial concepts to non-finance audiences
- Proven ability to lead with both strategic vision and operational excellence
