This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office.

We are seeking a Head of Finance Transformation & Data Analytics to build and lead a new Finance Operations & Data Analytics function for this newly established business. Reporting directly to the B2B Chief Financial Officer, this leader will establish the data, analytics, AI, and operational foundation that enables a multi-billion-dollar business to scale efficiently while providing executive leadership with timely, trusted, and actionable insights.
This role combines finance transformation, enterprise data strategy, AI enablement, and operational excellence. You will partner across Finance, Technology, Product, Enterprise Applications, and executive leadership to modernize how Finance operates through data, automation, and scalable processes.

In this role you will get to:

Finance Data Strategy & Analytics

  • Develop and execute the finance data and analytics strategy for the newly established B2B operating segment.

  • Establish a centralized, trusted repository for financial and operational data that supports reporting, planning, forecasting, and advanced analytics.

  • Define and govern enterprise finance KPIs, business rules, metric hierarchies, and data lineage to ensure consistent reporting across the organization.

  • Partner with Enterprise Applications and data engineering teams to develop and maintain a finance semantic layer that enables trusted self-service reporting and analytics.

  • Build a multi-year roadmap for finance data modernization, executive dashboards, management reporting, forecasting capabilities, and performance insights.

  • Deliver scalable reporting solutions that provide leadership with real-time visibility into financial performance, operational trends, and strategic priorities.

AI & Finance Technology Transformation

  • Develop and execute the Finance AI and automation strategy, identifying high-impact opportunities to improve productivity, reduce manual work, and enhance decision-making.

  • Champion the adoption of AI-enabled solutions across forecasting, variance analysis, financial close, workforce planning, scenario modeling, and executive reporting.

  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and partner with enterprise technology teams to responsibly integrate AI into finance processes.

  • Promote AI literacy and adoption across the Finance organization while establishing governance for scalable, secure, and responsible use.

Finance Operations & Transformation

  • Lead finance transformation initiatives supporting the creation and scaling of the standalone B2B organization.

  • Assess current capabilities and recommend future-state operating models, systems, and processes that improve efficiency, scalability, and controls.

  • Translate complex transformation initiatives into phased implementation plans with clear milestones, ownership, budgets, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.

  • Partner with enterprise PMO and cross-functional teams to ensure Finance is effectively represented across strategic business initiatives.

  • Represent the B2B Finance organization in enterprise-wide finance transformation programs and strategic initiatives.

Executive Decision Support

  • Develop executive dashboards, performance reporting, and Board- and leadership-level presentations that communicate key business insights.

  • Support the annual investment planning process by developing business cases, evaluating financial assumptions, and providing strategic decision support.

  • Build operating rhythms that improve financial transparency, forecast accuracy, and business performance management.

Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Finance Operations & Data Analytics organization, including Systems Analysts, Finance Operations Managers, and Solution Engineers.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Establish clear career development paths while attracting and retaining exceptional talent.

What you have:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in FP&A, finance transformation, enterprise performance management, project management, or related disciplines; favoring a background originating inside a $1B+ public corporation.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred

  • Certifications: Six Sigma or other Lean Management certifications and Project Management credentials

  • Organizational Agility: Prior experience navigating complex, highly matrix-oriented corporations.

  • Technical Stack: High proficiency with enterprise-level financial infrastructure, typically leveraging modern tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Codex, Claude, etc. and more established financial ecosystems like Oracle EBS, SAP, Hyperion/HRM, Essbase, BlackLine, Anaplan, Fintastic, and OneStream.

  • Experience with carve-outs or M&A preferred.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and natural curiosity regarding financial metrics and key business drivers.

  • Strong communicator, able to adapt style and message depending on audience.

  • High integrity standards, transparent behavior.

  • Able to function in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

  • Data driven, experimental, ready to learn and open to change.

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $260,000–$320,000.
