- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Korea Finance function, including financial accounting, management reporting, statutory reporting and financial controls.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, local regulatory requirements and Group accounting policies.
- Ensure completeness and integrity of accounting records and documentation (C-Sox, K-Sox)
- Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies, accounting standards and local regulations.
- Support business growth initiatives, new products and market expansion activities through financial analysis and governance oversight
- Oversee local tax reporting and compliance obligations.
- Support implementation of Group initiatives, operating model changes and technology enhancements
- Build strong collaboration between Korea Finance, Group Finance and other functional teams.
- Oversee local finance team and responsible for team growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance discipline
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in financial services, securities, investment banking or capital markets, especially Securities Brokerage Industries preferred
- Extensive knowledge in Korean securities regulations, financial reporting requirements and capital adequacy frameworks proven in leading financial institutions
- Extensive experience dealing with regulators, external auditors and senior executives
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to manage complex issues and multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Korean.
- Proficiency in SAP is an advantage.
- CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Big Four audit or advisory experience is preferred.
