Head of IAM Technology – India (Director)

Job Description

Overall purpose of role: Head of IAM Technology– India (Director) Location: Pune/ ChennaiLocal teams of approximately 40+ resources in IAM Technology spread between Pune and Chennai. IAM stack focuses on logical and privileged access management supported by a organically built distributed technology platform facilitating colleagues, IAM control owners and operations to ensure that various access controls remain compliant and in able to respond to ever changing security landscape.Accountable for the IAM Build the Bank with oversight on Run the Bank teams in India. Key player in helping shape the architectural roadmap for IAM’s next strategic objectives of being data driven function and continued simplification of technology and processes.Role involves the hiring and integration of the teams, leadership of the local management team, setting of objectives and migration of end to end responsibility for programs to India. Objective setting, performance management and compensation all included within responsibilities.Role has responsibility for planning, design and execution of the work end to end, and is accountable for execution to plan and budgets accordingly. Responsible for escalation and resolution of all program and people issues locally for the teams.Role has a seat at the IAM Technology management table, and on the local Functions management table.The role will focus on the following:

• Work directly with IT teams and other Barclays departments to lead the delivery of the change program
• Management and leadership of the local teams; responsible for escalation and resolution of key issues / challenges to the Functions Tech India leadership.
• Develop a strong partnership with the IAM operations team based in Pune to drive automation and simplification.
• Candidate needs to have experience of building large scale distributed systems (involving microservices, Spring Framework, and BPMN etc.): operational data stores, data warehouses, ETL, distribution, rich web UX etc.
• Role will be accountable for ensuring the development team are putting into practice design and build standards (aligned to Barclays standard)
• Role will be responsible for clearly identifying roles and responsibilities within the development team and ensuring that the leads in each discipline are reviewing deliveries and understand success criteria.
• Stakeholder management of the key IAM and business partners (lead all senior routines, attendance and leadership of infrastructure steering routines, definition of governance) for projects owned end to end.
• Work with IAM stakeholders and Transformation teams on the development of target operating model.
• Accountable for technical design and component delivery and ensuring solution is “fit for purpose” and fits with broader strategic direction and architecture framework.
• Responsible for the development of the platform and delivery/testing to required spec and standard.
• Responsible for team delivering to the firm’s technology and infrastructure standards and best practice.
• Ensure reporting, governance, roles and responsibilities and program MIS is delivered to required standards.
• Responsible for deliver to agreed milestones and deadlines, with particular focus on the regulatory/mandatory elements of the program.
• Development of location strategy holistically with Functions, Transformation and Infrastructure. Key lead in engaging directly with all stakeholders to achieve coherent strategy for IAM Technology that aligns with the broader requirements and CSO guidelines.
• Develop efficiencies and scale through implementation and execution of LEAN and Dev Ops.
