Job Description
Objective of role:
The Head of Ethics and Compliance, Thailand is accountable for the implementation of Takeda's E&C Program in Thailand, building key relationships with commercial and functional leaders and working together with the Regional E&C LT to:
- Partner with commercial and functional leaders providing E&C advice and support to actively identify and mitigate risks in key LOC projects
- Represent E&C within TTEC. Work closely with the business and all functions, facilitating risk management at the LOC and ensure business is conducted in the highest compliant and ethical manner.
- Serve as an E&C point of contact on matters of E&C-related policies, procedures and systems guidance.
- Tailor the Regional E&C strategy to Thailand's needs and regulatory nuances
- Lead and execute E&C strategy in the Thailand
- Provide strategic expert insight to E&C in Thailand
- Identify data and analytics needs and devise ad hoc trackers and dashboards that allow informed decisions and actions.
Accountabilities of role:

- Coordinate Values Ambassadors network and their activities in partnership with ISEA E&C.
- Enables the company's purpose and vision by acting as a role model of Takeda Leadership Behaviors (Think Strategically, Inspire Others, Deliver Priorities and Elevate Capabilities)
Governance:
- Represent Takeda Thailand in Risk Ethics and Compliance Committee (RECC) providing input to E&C strategy and decisions
- As an active member of the leadership teams, ingrains E&C as part of company's decisions
- As an active member of the ISEA E&C LT, communicates and aligns on E&C best practices, challenges and experiences to enable the effective implementation of the E&C Program in the LOC.
- Identifies and escalates resource gaps to optimize the conduction of the E&C program.
- Leads and coaches E&C colleagues aiming to contribute to their professional development .
- Represents the company's ethical priorities before external stakeholders re. pharma associations, developing a networking with industry compliance professionals and participating as active member of local industry forums focused on E&C.
Risk Assessment
- Directs risk management as part of day-to-day conversations, actively assessing risks and proposing mitigations for projects and activities while partnering with business units and functions
- As part of the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment (ERA) and in partnership with the ISEA Risk Coordinator, leads the identification, assessment, prioritization and mitigation of E&C risks for the LOC
- Monitors relevant E&C-related regulations/industry association positions to proactively identify emerging regulatory issues, development in industry practices and standards, and E&C risk trends.
Policies & Procedures:
- Work with the LOC team to implement Global E&C Policies in the LOC.
- Supports the development, maintenance and enhancement of LOC-specific procedures, guidelines and controls, providing expert input based on LOC requirements and risk landscape.
- When required, develop, maintain and enhance LOC-specific E&C procedures, guidelines and controls
- Guides commercial and functional teams through the adoption and interpretation of E&C policies, procedures and guidelines.
Learning & Engagement:
- Leads the development, implementation and update of the LOC E&C learning program aiming to increase awareness of policies, procedures and guidelines
- Customizes global learning and engagements materials, creating LOC-specific content when required
- Designs analytics to follow up learning completion metrics
- Leads the LOC E&C Engagement plan.
Investigations:
- Contributes to the creation of an environment where colleagues feel comfortable speaking up and leaders engage in active listening
- Facilitates the investigation of material cases as needed.
- Conducts investigations of cases as assigned, in collaboration with BU/BF/LOC E&C, Legal, HR and others as needed.
- Collaborates with the Investigations Team and ISEA E&C to develop and implement interim corrective actions, implement agreed upon remediation.
Monitoring:
- Accountable for the implementation of an effective system for monitoring compliance with E&C related laws, regulations, industry codes and company policies and procedures by:
- Defining of the LOC yearly monitoring program based on specific risk areas
- Conducting sampling and testing of activities, the identification of findings and root cause analysis, in collaboration with activity owners
- Discussing monitoring results with LOC RECC, including remediation actions and recurrent issues
- Reporting monitoring results to global monitoring core team.
Corrective Actions:
- Identifies and proposes potential corrective actions for issues identified in the LOC
- Oversees implementation of agreed corrective actions to evaluate their effectiveness
- Escalates if gaps or misconduct recur.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drives the continuous improvement of the LOC E&C Program, in response to emerging risks, lessons learned, global changes and periodic E&C program assessments, as appropriate
- Works with LOC functions and GEM E&C LT to implement systems to improve the various elements of the Global E&C Program
- Contributes to E&C enhancement projects representing Thailand / ISEA as needed.
- Provides feedback to Regional / Global E&C Teams so that tools, policies and procedures are designed/adapted to ensure appropriate support to the elements of the E&C Program
Travel requirement:
- Local and international travel may be required from time to time.
