Job Description

As the Head of Engineering, you will lead high-impact domain product engineering teams across Transportation, Accommodation, and Travel Activities. You will drive technical strategy, ensure system scalability, reliability, and security, and align development efforts with business goals. Your role includes optimizing team productivity, fostering cross-team collaboration, and mentoring engineers while maintaining high technical standards. This position requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to guide teams toward efficient execution and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of critical systems including front-end and backend.

• Ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture across teams.

• Guide and mentor engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.

• Promote best practices in code quality, observability, and security.

• Manage cross-team dependencies and drive collaboration across functions.

• Influence strategic technical decisions, aligning with business objectives.

• Drive process improvements for greater efficiency and impact.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor in Technology or equivalent in Computer Science from a reputed Institute with good academic results.

Preferred technical skills:

• Knowledge and experience in building and maintaining systems in Java, Spring Boot, or any JVM-centric stacks

• Knowledge and experience in building and maintaining front-end applications in iOS, Android, and Web

• Git and Github/Bitbucket etc.

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure

Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL/MySQL, and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, are a plus.

• Knowledge and experience in infrastructure management, containerization, and infra-as-a-code are a plus.

• Knowledge and experience serving the engineering and products of other teams and sustainably governing them is a plus.
