This role owns the E2E Vehicle Software Platform Strategy for Daimler Truck’s Engineering IT – the ONE E2E Software Platform that lets the company create, document, distribute and troubleshoot vehicle software faster, at higher quality and lower cost. It resolves today’s fragmented vehicle-software landscape across business units and segments by defining the target picture, roadmap and governance for a harmonized software documentation, distribution and troubleshooting platform (SDP) and a single documentation and diagnostics Platform. In addition, the role is accountable for running all Engineering IT applications for Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and for operating the ELM and WHTC applications – ensuring stable, secure and cost-efficient operations alongside the strategic platform build-up.Posting Information

What You Drive at DTNA
- E2E Software Platform Strategy: Own the strategy, target picture and multi-year roadmap for the ONE E2E Software Platform – to create, document, distribute and troubleshoot vehicle software faster, at higher quality and lower cost – resolving the fragmented vehicle-software landscape across business units and segments. Define and drive the harmonized software delivery / distribution platform (SDP) and the single documentation platform; establish CI/CD, DevOps and automation across the vehicle-software lifecycle.
- Governance – E2E Vehicle Software Decision Board: Establish and steer the governance model, including the E2E Vehicle Software Decision Board, aligning business and IT on scope, priorities, and adoption.
- Run Engineering IT applications for DTNA: Be accountable for running all Engineering IT applications for Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) – ensuring stable, secure and cost-efficient operation, maintenance and support in line with agreed service levels.
- Operate ELM & WHTC: Operate and continuously improve the ELMA and WHTC applications, ensuring reliable service, data quality, security and compliance.
- People & talent leadership: Attract, retain, develop and lead a high-performing, global team; drive leadership development, target agreements and performance management, and build capability for platform and application operations.
- Budget & operations: Hold budgetary / cost responsibility (Mio €); ensure sound business cases, project pricing and SLAs, optimum use of resources and budget, and safeguard excellent operations.
- Stakeholder management & compliance: Act as strong partner to the corresponding business units with a key focus on TT/S, DTNA and IT stakeholders and manage
- Vendor / partner relationships; ensure statutory compliance and adherence to internal policies including security, data protection and working-hours regulations.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software/ Electronics Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale IT or R&D programs, with strong project and program management knowledge
- Proven experience defining and running software platforms and software delivery / distribution(SDP), DevOps and CI/CD at scale
- Experience running application operations across international sites (e.g. for DTNA / North America, India, Germany)
- Substantial leadership experience, including international and cross-cultural teams
- Vehicle-software lifecycle – create, document, distribute and troubleshoot – and software deliverydistribution and documentation platforms
- Engineering IT application operations and service management (incl. DTNA applications, ELM, WHTC)
- DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, SaaS and Agile delivery methods
- Governance and stakeholder management at senior / executive level Business-fluent English required; German an advantage
