The Opportunity
Email is a relic of the past. At Turium AI, we are building Qale—a real-time, AI-native communication protocol designed to replace legacy email and redefine global exchange.
We are weeks away from Alpha release. Our current Head of Engineering is transitioning, and we need a leader to step in immediately, stabilize the architecture, launch, and scale to millions of users.
This is a 0 → 1 → 10 journey. This is not a maintenance role.
What You’ll Own
The Launch: Lead Qale from Alpha through Public Launch to a global scale of 1M+ users.
The Architecture: Take full ownership of delivery, system architecture, and real-time messaging integrity (WebSockets / Event-driven systems).
The UX: Drive high-performance React architecture for a seamless, "future-state" user experience.
The Infrastructure: Design cloud-native systems for massive concurrency and sovereign data security.
The Culture: Establish the engineering standards, speed, and execution rigor for the entire team.
The Growth: Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering hub in Hyderabad while working directly with the Founder on strategy.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
Scale: Proven experience launching and scaling products to 1M+ active users.
Real-Time Mastery: Deep expertise in WebSockets, pub/sub, and event-driven architecture.
Full-Stack Depth: Hands-on expertise in React and modern distributed systems.
Performance: A track record of handling high concurrency and low-latency requirements.
Intensity: Experience operating in fast-moving, high-pressure environments where speed is a feature.
Nice-to-Have:
Background in building messaging, chat, or global collaboration platforms.
Experience with WebRTC or live communication systems.
Experience integrating AI-native workflows into user-facing products.
The Tech Environment
Frontend: React / Modern JS Frameworks
Architecture: Event-driven / Streaming systems
Communication: WebSockets / Real-time pipelines
Infrastructure: Cloud-native (Sovereign deployments)
Data: High-volume, real-time data lakehouse architectures.
