About the team + role

The Banking Platform team imagines, designs and builds the technical bedrock of our banking products, such as the Robinhood Gold Credit Card. Payments, transactions, money movement - it’s a complex and high-dimensional space where inspired execution propagates and has an outsized impact on the organization.

We seek an Engineering leader with technical depth, strong ownership and accountability to lead the Banking Platform team as we build and scale our cutting edge line of products. Join us as we enter 2025 - a year of unprecedented scale - and own the roadmap and execution across all credit card & banking product operations and functionality (e.g. payments, transactions, collections, disputes, risk, fraud).

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations.   • Completely own the Banking Platform roadmap: prioritization, execution, and vision.
  • Prepare for scale. We are targeting 5X+ growth in 2025. You'll be the one ensuring that our systems and talent are ready.
  • Strategically balance product development, technical priorities and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
  • Build your best team: with your incisive mentorship and top-notch hiring bar, you'll take this already exceptional team to the next level.
  • Work directly with our founders and leadership spanning engineering, product, legal, and risk.

  • No less than 2 years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals: in addition to having an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, you love the art of creation through code.
  • While not required, prior experience with payment processing, payment systems, and relevant third party integrations is a plus.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
