About the Role

Dyson seeks an exceptional executive to lead Electronics Hardware (HW), Power Systems (PS) & Software (SW) at the company's state-of-the-art Batangas campus in the Philippines. The mandate is to provide direction and operational leadership across multi-disciplinary hardware, power system and embedded software teams, delivering category-defining products to global consumers.

SW HW Technical Leadership 

  • Execute vision and strategic roadmap set by the corporation for Embedded Software, Electronics, Power systems with oversight of in country SW HW product testing within the category and new product and technology development. 

  • Drive adoption of SW HW platforms,  innovative hardware designs and embedded software architectures, ensuring each product sets the benchmark for performance, safety, and user experience. 

  • Champion continuous improvement, leading technology adoption for reliability, EMC, security, and seamless integration across systems. 

  • Drive the Embedded Software design, testing and quality assurance team to delivery SW product solution with quality. 

Operational Site Management 

  • Direct day-to-day operations for electronics and embedded software engineering, HW SW testing results and support of manufacturing. 

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations, maintaining world-class workplace standards and best practices. 

Category & Product Ownership 

  • Accountable for all hardware/software engineering deliverables and technical decision-making within the Beauty category, plus SW development for other categories. 

  • Guarantee robust electronics and firmware solutions are delivered—on time, on cost, on spec, and to Dyson’s uncompromising quality standards. Meet or beat the 4ONs and all delivery KPIs. 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

  • Forge strong, collaborative relationships across RDD, Design, Programme, Software, and Category teams, Quality Teams to ensure the best solutions are delivered to market. 

  • Represent the Beauty engineering capability site to internal and external stakeholders, including global Dyson teams, suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies. 

Talent & Capability Building 

  • Inspire, grow, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team (hardware, embedded software, testing, and manufacturing engineers). 

  • Take ownership for building out the site’s talent pipeline and leadership succession plan, positioning the Philippines as Dyson’s global centre of excellence for Beauty. 

Business Stewardship 

  • Set and monitor KPIs, drive cost-efficiency, and manage budgets and resources for the department. 

  • Ensure strategic resource allocation and future capability building to balance NPD and sustaining projects. 

  • Regularly communicate results, risks, and opportunities to senior management. 

Qualifications: 

  • Transformative hands on leadership with scan-do attitude  

  • Distinguished background (8+ years) in electronics and embedded software product development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within global organisations. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering; Master’s degree preferred. 

  • Demonstrated budget responsibility and expertise in site management within a high-technology or consumer product environment. 

  • Proven track record launching complex, software-enabled hardware products—ideally within Beauty, Consumer Electronics, Personal Care, or related sectors. 

Technical & Leadership Competencies 

  • Expert knowledge in electronics design, embedded firmware/software development, real-time systems, device connectivity, system integration, and testing processes. 

  • Adept at steering teams through compliance, regulatory standards, product safety, and reliability (including EMC). 

  • Visionary and hands-on leader, skilled at building world-class engineering teams, developing future leaders, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. 

  • Business fluent in English; experience working in or with multicultural Asia-Pacific organisations desirable.
