Head of E-Commerce
Remote - Periodic visits to Bupa offices as required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of E-Commerce to join our Health Service Team. The post holder will ensure that our e-commerce platforms are designed and operate to drive maximum customer experience, repeat touchpoints and revenue into the business, whether this is via web or relevant portions of the Bupa app estate. The remit of this role is wide and will involve working closely with all members of the Clinics Leadership Team, Cromwell Executive Team, Health Services Leadership Team and the IT and Digital teams across BGIUK.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy across the whole of health services and in conjunction with the market unit and UK insurance teams.
- Ensure that the e-commerce strategy is coherent with the requirements from other business units within BGIUK, such as Dental and UK Insurance consumer offerings.
- Manage the online customer journey, optimising for user experience and conversion for both B2C and B2B bookings.
- Work with the marketing and product teams and digital teams to develop an in-app e-commerce journey to maximise customer lifetime value.
- Ensure online offerings reflect Bupa's commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
- Drive digital innovation and leverage technology for business growth.
- You look beyond your business area to the wider organisation and the external market, both to anticipate the impact of changes and to seek out examples of best practice.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in ecommerce in a consumer Retail/Hospitality environment (Essential).
- Proficiency in online product sales and platform management (Essential).
- Ability to demonstrate thoughtful leadership effectively balancing intuition, risk awareness and complex analysis.
- Strong technical knowledge of ecommerce platforms and web development.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to enhancing the online experience.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in managing and supporting multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Problem solving skills.
