Position Overview:
The Head/Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial management and operations. They play a crucial role in budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. The Head/Director of Finance works closely with department heads to guide budget planning and expenditure monitoring. They ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintain financial systems. Collaborating with the executive team, they contribute insights and recommendations for long-term financial plans. Overall, the Head/Director of Finance ensures financial stability and adherence to best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
Responsible for preparing financial forecasts, projections, and financial models.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
Indirect cost reporting to management
Coordinate and support external audits and financial reviews.
Monitor and control expenses to align with approved budgets.
Provide guidance and support to department heads in budget planning and expenditure monitoring.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Manage banking relationships
Maintain financial systems and software.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial strategies and long-term financial plans.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years relevant experience
Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including legal compliances.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
