Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic data and results-driven Digital Commercialisation and Monetization Lead to join our Digital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving the digital commercial strategy, ensuring the effective monetization of digital channels, products, services and features, including pricing optimization, across App, Web and USSD platforms operated by Absa Africa Regional Operations (ARO) Retail and Business Banking.
Additionally, the individual will be accountable for managing the digital sales and adoption funnel, from awareness to conversion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and understanding of digital channels, analytics, and customer behaviour to deliver growth and profitability.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Commercial Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital commercialisation strategy aligned with ARO RBB’s digital strategy and overall business objectives.
- Identify new digital revenue streams and opportunities for growth.
2. Sales Funnel Strategy Development:
- Design, implement, and optimize digital sales funnels to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer journey and identify key touchpoints for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align funnel strategies with overall business goals.
3. Funnel Performance Analysis & Optimization:
- Monitor and analyse funnel performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Glassbox, etc.).
- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement within the funnel and implement data-driven solutions.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize conversion rates at each stage of the funnel.
4. Commercialisation Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital commercialisation efforts.
- Regularly review and report on performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
5. Revenue Generation:
- Oversee the monetisation of digital channels, products, services and features.
- Optimise pricing strategies and revenue models to maximise profitability.
6. Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, sales, and technology teams to ensure cohesive execution of digital commercialisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to enhance digital offerings and expand market reach.
8. Customer Experience:
- Ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer retention and lifetime value.
9. Innovation and Trends:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital commercialisation.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new digital tools and platforms.

Bachelor's Degree (Required)
