Job Description

We’re looking for a Head of Development – Salesforce to lead one of our high performing Salesforce teams as we continue to scale our internal capability.

This is a vital management role with significant influence across our group CRM & data strategy.

Reporting to our IT & Salesforce Director, your responsibilities will include shaping our development principles, delivering the group wide Salesforce roadmap,  platform strategy, integration ecosystem and people leadership.

You’ll also play a key role in migrating acquisitions from legacy systems and introducing new technology capabilities.

In-person collaboration is important to us; it's one of the foundations of our success. This is an office based role at our state of the art Telematics head office in Arden Square, Crewe.

What you'll be doing...

  • Leading a technical team, taking overall accountability for the effectiveness and well-being of team members.
  • Support the assessment, definition and roll out of development practices/processes aligned with industry best practice, ensuring their adherence in order to deliver efficient change.
  • Proactively ensure the health of the platform, identifying and addressing technical debt.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators, ensuring team delivery excellence and addressing any issues effectively.
  • Manage all ceremonies and activities in relation to our development lifecycle
  • Working with the IT & Salesforce Director to understand and contribute to the vision and strategy for the group.
  • Working with Product to understand customer needs on specific features and ensuring development teams are delivering to these needs aligned to the defined roadmap and strategy
  • Alongside Delivery Management and Product, measuring and managing capacity and building roadmaps to deliver maximum value for customers with this capacity.

What we're looking for...

  • A proven track record in building and leading innovative, high performing Salesforce teams.
  • Experience leveraging agile, kanban or Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience managing highly distributed organisations and working with multiple cultures.
  • Certification in Salesforce Administration or relevant experience.  
  • Experience of a product-centric approach to delivery
  • A deep understanding and belief in best practice and its importance for delivering good products that last.
  • A positive, servant-leader mindset, leading teams as a coach and someone who asks the right questions to challenge.
